Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2025
Golf Medal (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Golf Medal mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
The Golf Medal app is designed with privacy in mind:
- Data stored on your device: Scores, player names, medal play data, language preference, and other data you enter are stored locally on your device (e.g. via device storage). We do not collect or store this data on our servers.
- No account required: You can use the App without creating an account. We do not collect personal identifiers such as email addresses or names unless you voluntarily enter them as part of your score data.
2. How We Use Information
Because data is stored locally on your device, we do not use your score or game data for analytics or marketing. If in the future we add optional cloud features (e.g., backup or sync), we will update this policy and ask for your consent before using your data for those purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services (e.g., for distribution via app stores or crash reporting). Those services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of:
- Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) for download and update-related data
- Expo or other development platforms, if we use analytics or crash reporting tools
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Data you create in the App remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data. We do not retain copies of your local data on our servers. If you uninstall the App, your local data will be removed according to your device’s behavior.
5. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect any data processed by the App. Because your score data is stored on your device, you are responsible for securing your device (e.g., using a lock screen and keeping your OS updated).
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
8. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us.
